🌎 HOW TO CONNECT WITH CHINA VENDORS
When working with suppliers in China, WhatsApp will often be your main source of direct communication. I also recommend creating accounts with Alibaba and AliExpress so you can search for suppliers, compare products and research different vendors.
📱 STEP 1: SET UP WHATSAPP
Download the WhatsApp app and follow the prompts to create your account.
Once your account is set up, you can contact a vendor directly using their WhatsApp phone number.
The easiest way:
Open your internet browser and type:
wa.me/VENDORPHONENUMBER
Example:
wa.me/8612945678911
💡 Enter the vendor's complete international phone number without spaces, dashes or parentheses.
💬 STEP 2: OPEN THE VENDOR'S CHAT
After entering the link, you should be asked if you want to open the page in WhatsApp.
Select OPEN.
WhatsApp will take you directly to a chat with that supplier. You can now begin communicating with them.
💇🏽♀️ STEP 3: ASK FOR WHOLESALE INFORMATION
Keep your first message simple and professional.
You can say:
Hello, I am interested in purchasing good-quality human hair wholesale. Please send me your current wholesale price list and product information. Thank you.
Once they respond, you can ask about:
-
Hair types and origins available
-
Lengths, textures and densities
-
Lace types and sizes
-
Minimum order quantity (MOQ)
-
Sample orders
-
Wholesale pricing
-
Shipping costs and delivery time
-
Custom packaging or branding
🗣️ STEP 4: KEEP COMMUNICATION SIMPLE
Remember, there may be a language barrier.
✅ Keep messages short, clear and direct.
✅ Ask one or two questions at a time.
✅ Use simple wording.
❌ Avoid slang and abbreviations.
❌ Avoid long paragraphs and unnecessary small talk.
Clear communication makes it easier for both you and the supplier.
⏰ STEP 5: REMEMBER THE TIME DIFFERENCE
China is many hours ahead of the United States, so your supplier may be working while you're sleeping.
You may receive messages late at night or early in the morning.
Don't be concerned if you don't receive an immediate response during normal U.S. business hours. Give your supplier time to respond based on their local business hours.
⚠️ IMPORTANT VENDOR TIP
Finding a supplier is only the beginning. Do your research before placing a large order.
Whenever possible, start with a sample or small order so you can personally check the hair quality, shipping time, communication and overall service before investing more money.
Never feel pressured to place a large order just because a supplier offers you a better price.
✨ Compare. Ask questions. Test the product. Then make your decision.
