BUSINESS IDEAS: Stop Waiting on the “Perfect” Idea

BUSINESS IDEAS: Stop Waiting on the “Perfect” Idea

Before you ask me, “Mrs. Gwen, what kind of business should I start?” 😂 — let me stop you right there.

This DIY membership is not designed to give you a business idea.

What I’m here to do is help you take the idea you already have and start turning it into a real business.

And your idea does not have to be something brand new that nobody has ever thought of before.

Almost any idea can become a good business idea — it’s all about what you put into it, how you present it, how you treat your customers, and how willing you are to make people see the value in what you’re offering.

💡 Don't Just Look for Demand — Sometimes You Have to CREATE It

When I started my wig business, there wasn't a big demand for lace wigs in my city or even throughout the surrounding Metroplex.

Most people hadn't even heard of them.

So I wasn't stepping into a market where everybody was already looking for what I was selling. I had to help create the demand.

And that took some work.

In the beginning, I actually gave a few wigs away.

Why?

Because I was asking people to spend a good amount of money on something they weren't familiar with. Before they were willing to make that investment, they needed to see it.

Once people started seeing the wigs, seeing how they looked and understanding what they could do — things started changing.

That's business.

Sometimes people don't know they want what you're selling until you show them why they should want it.

✨ It Wasn't Just the Wigs

Here's something else I've learned over the years:

It's not always WHAT you do. Sometimes it's HOW you do it.

I'm not a beautician.

I don't consider myself a hairstylist.

I don't even particularly like doing hair. 😂

Yet I built a successful wig business.

How?

My business skills and my customer service skills.

Even today, I have customers who don't want to go anywhere else. It's not because I'm the greatest hairstylist in the world — because I'm definitely not claiming that! 😂

It's because they like how I conduct my business.

They know what to expect from me.

They know how they're going to be treated.

They trust me.

And that is something I want you to understand:

Your business skills can become your competitive advantage.

Two people can sell the exact same product or offer the exact same service and get completely different results.

Why?

Because the product isn't the entire business.

Customer service is business.

Communication is business.

Organization is business.

Consistency is business.

Professionalism is business.

Building trust is business.

Knowing how to solve problems is business.

🤔 So What Kind of Business Should You Start?

Don't wreck your brain trying to come up with the most unique business idea in the world.

Start simple.

Think about something you already:

❤️ Like to do
🛍️ Like to buy
💬 Know a lot about
👀 Find yourself constantly researching
🛠️ Know how to fix or improve
📦 Would enjoy selling
🤝 Could provide as a service

Then ask yourself:

"How could I turn this into a business?"

You may already be spending money, time and energy in an area that could eventually make money for you.

💼 The Idea Is Only the Beginning

Having an idea doesn't automatically make it a business.

That's where the work begins.

Once you have the idea, you need to start learning how to set it up, organize it, operate it and grow it like a business.

That's what I'm here to help you with.

I'm not here to tell you what business to start.

I'm here to share resources and information that can help you strengthen the business side of whatever you decide to do.

I've learned a LOT through my own years of doing business — through the things that worked, the things that didn't work, the mistakes, the changes, the customers and the experiences.

And I have so much information stored in this brain of mine. 😂🧠

I'm finally ready to start sharing it.

🔐 Keep Checking Your Membership

This membership isn't something I'm building once and walking away from.

I'm constantly adding new information, resources, tips and things I've learned along the way.

So don't feel like you have to read everything at once.

Come back. Look around. Read something new. Apply what makes sense for YOUR business.

And as I add important new information, I'll send out text messages so you'll know there's something new waiting for you to check out.

Because the goal isn't for you to copy what I did.

The goal is for you to take what I've learned and use it to build YOUR business — YOUR way.

Remember: It's not always what you do. It's how you do it. 💼✨
